Ashin — Robotics Engineer
I hold a Master’s degree in Automation & Robotics from TU Dortmund University and a Bachelor’s degree in Robotics & Automation from PSG College of Technology. I specialized in developing learning-based robotic systems that transition from simulation to real-world deployment.
During my work at Fraunhofer IML , I applied deep reinforcement learning to the evoBOT, focusing on autonomous navigation and manipulation under real-world constraints. At Vodafone GmbH , I worked on digital twins and Sim2Real pipelines, using platforms such as Boston Dynamics’ Spot and Unitree humanoid robots.
My master’s thesis, completed in collaboration with Fraunhofer IML, explored hierarchical reinforcement learning for agile loco-manipulation, with an emphasis on robustness and autonomy in complex robotic systems. Beyond research, I actively work with ROS 2 and contribute to open-source robotics projects on GitHub, with a strong interest in reproducible, well-engineered robotic software.
Driven by a long-standing interest in replicating and enhancing human capabilities through robotics, I aim to build systems that reduce error, improve efficiency, and operate reliably in real environments. Outside the lab, I’m an avid PC gamer, with a soft spot for RPG and action-adventure titles such as The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and Baldur’s Gate 3.
I am currently seeking an entry-level position as an AI Robotics Engineer or Robotics Engineer, where I can contribute to cutting-edge robotic systems and continue pushing intelligent autonomy into practical use.
